Treasures of the DIA
On Tuesday, October 28th, popular History Teller Maureen Esther presented a fascinating evening on the wonderful treasures found here in our own Detroit Institute of Arts Museum. Her program covered several interesting back stories and histories about some of our most famous (or obscure) paintings, including the Vincent Van Gogh Self Portrait, St. Jerome by Van Eyck and The Wedding Feast by Breugel. Over 55 art enthusiasts attended this rare opportunity at the Clarkston Independence District Library to hear the real stories behind the canvas!
This program was sponsored by the Clarkston Community Historical Society. Take a look at the Programs and Events page for upcoming events.
