Art in the Village 2016
Mark your calendars for the society’s 43rd Art in the Village on September 17th, 10 am-5 pm and September 18th, 10 am- 4 pm located in the quaint, picturesque setting of Depot Park. You will enjoy more than 80 artisans from all over the region that showcase mediums such as pottery, jewelry, painting, sculpture, photography and so much more hand-crafted must-haves! The weekend will also feature live music, free children’s activities and food sold by local civic groups. And don’t forget the society’s Cider Tent where cider and donuts help deliciously reign in the new fall season. The society continues to feature the Silent Auction Tent where shoppers bid on items donated by participating artists and our Antique Tent bursting of donated antiques and collectibles that will be calling your name! Admission is free to this ever-popular annual event in our historic town. Please see the Volunteers page if you are interested in volunteering!
In addition to paintings, pottery, sculpture, photography, jewelry and other handmades, the show – the Society’s primary fund-raiser – features live music, free children’s activities and food sold by local civic groups.
Two favorites include a Silent Auction of items donated by participating artists; and an Antique Tent where shoppers can browse through donated antiques and collectibles. All proceeds support the Clarkston Heritage Museum as well as free educational programs throughout the year.
